Start with the man in the mirror

What kind of trance are you in?

You may not know it, but you spend a lot of your day in hypnotic trance.

Don’t believe me? Remember, hypnosis is a state of mind. It just means that your subconscious mind is receptive to suggestion.

In fact, advertisers and entertainers take great advantage of your trance state. Hypnotic trance is the reason why you get lost in your favorite television show or why that song on the radio makes you cry.

This doesn’t mean you should spend your day trying to avoid trance state – it’s way more trouble than it’s worth. After all, you would only be protecting your mind from new programming.

What you can do is make sure what’s around you (friends, music, movies…) is helping you, building you up, and giving you powerfully positive programs that will help you in creating confidence.

For example, listen to Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror:

Take a look at yourself and then make a change

I love the message in these lyrics. Big change starts with individuals making a choice to be different. This can be small scale, like smiling at someone on the street, or large scale, like starting a business or non-profit to create change in the world.

The big idea here is that you have the power.

You have the power to change the world, starting with you.

You have the power to take control of your programming and choose messages of strength and empowerment.

You are the only one who controls your world, so make it better today! Remember, you have the power!
