What I’m wearing: Cinco de Mayo!

What's "cheers" in Spanish?

I’m trying something new.  Now that I’ve found my camera battery charger, I’m taking pictures of the outfits I wear for various outings.  I’ll be posting them here, along with why I wore what I wore, what works, and what needs improvement.

I’d love for you to give me your feedback.  What do you like in the outfit?  What would you change?  What would work on you?

The occasion: Cinco de Mayo

According to Wikipedia, Cinco de Mayo is a holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army’s unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.  For me, it’s another fun holiday that’s a nice excuse to party.

What I'm Wearing

What I wore: Jeans and an embellished tank

These are my go-to jeans.  Medium-dark wash, comfy, awesome.  Especially for a night at home.  The top is one I very rarely wear.  My boyfriend loves it.  I went with a spicy lip and some fun bangles.  You can’t really see the shoes, and if you did, you’d see my awesome gold and wood wedges.

Loving: chocolate brown against my skin, cool beading in gold, fun hair that isn’t making me sweat, wearing a shirt that my boyfriend loves while at home partying with my boyfriend and puppy

Not Loving: amount of exposure on top, roundness of earrings, make-up

We had an awesome evening!  I love excuses to have some special food and and a fun night in!  Kyle made us tacos and frozen mango margaritas.  Fun!

Broccoli Beast

Kahlua got a treat too, although it wasn’t very Mexican.  She got broccoli, one of her favorite things ever!

Look for opportunities like this to keep things fresh with your mate (or friends!).

What did you do for Cinco de Mayo?  Do you like to have theme nights like these?

Tell me what you think!!

Love,
CarolAnn
