The effect of insecure people

An excerpt from this week’s newsletter, in cased you missed it…

Question: Do emotionally insecure and anxious people make life unstable for others?  How?

Yes, when the “others” allow that person to do so.  For instance, if it’s a significant other or a close friend who acts insecure and anxious, it tends to rub off.  When we form close relationships with others, we allow them to have power over us.  We care what they think, we let their opinions and habits shape the way we feel and act.  The specific way it affects people depends on their personality, and it almost always affects them negatively.

One of the most important confidence builders

(or tearers-down) is the people you’re around.

That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with positive, powerful people.  Remember, you have the power!
