When you’re at a marketing event, networking mixer or just out in the world, you will get the chance to tell someone else about your business. So what do you do?
Do you shyly ramble about the things you do, and how you came to do it? Or do you confidently explain the incredible benefits and results people get from your unique product or service with executive charisma?
The second option – and one of the keys to executive charisma -
comes from having a great elevator speech.
This is the 30 second summary of everything you do, boiled down to the most important things: your unique selling point and the benefits of your product or service for the customer.
- Who are you: name and title.
- Who do you help, and how do you help them?
- What makes you different?
- How do your clients benefit?
So an elevator speech might look something like,
“My name is CarolAnn Edie, and I’m a Confidence and Style coach for women. I teach female entrepreneurs and small business owners to build irresistible charisma from the inside and the outside through small changes in thought, language, body positioning and personal style. My students live happier, freer lives because they have the confidence to take the risks that will lead them to success. They know they have the power to do anything, and that they’re worth it.”
