Creating Confidence In Honor of Geraldine Ferraro

Geraldine Ferraro was a powerful, inspirational leader who was passionate about bringing equity to women.  She was active in politics and charity, and she knew what she believed in.  She was the first woman to run for vice president of the United States, and she was a trail blazer and an advocate for women throughout her life.

As I’m sure you know, Geraldine Ferraro passed away yesterday at the age of 75.  The tributes and accounts of her life have been moving.  It’s so important to honor and thank leaders like her for opening up the pathways of opportunity for all of us.

One of the best things you can do for your own personal growth is to study successful and inspirational people.  Read biographies and memoirs about people who made it and who made a difference.  You can learn from them.

Let their stories help you in making a difference and creating confidence in you.

It’s also crucial to appreciate and learn from people while they’re still here.  This goes for icons like Geraldine Ferraro, and also for the people you love.  Showing your gratitude and appreciation to those around you does so many things.  First, it helps you feel great.  Second, it helps them feel great.  And third, it encourages them to keep up the great work of being an inspirational leader, or being a great friend.

So, go that one step further when you’re giving a compliment or praise.  Make it personal and show that you really care.  Say “thank you” whenever you get the chance, and “I love you” as much as you can.  Find out all you can about the people who inspire you, so that you can be more like them and live your life to its fullest.  Remember, you have the power!

Love,
CarolAnn
