What I’m Wearing: A Bikini!

Hooray, it’s summer!!

Bikini Time!

This means that it’s time to break out the bikinis … some more.  Okay, so I’ve been running around in a bikini for like 2 months now.  There’s nothing wrong with that!!

*Ahem* Right.  So this weekend was our neighborhood’s seasonal party.  In the summertime, it’s a lot of bbq, swimming pool, and drinks.  It was fun!

Here’s what I wore:

Bikini – Victoria’s Secret – on sale.  I believe I got this for $15.
Mesh Sarong-thingy – Body Central (cheapy store in the mall)
Wedges – Payless (where else) about 6 years ago or something
Bracelets – Gift from a friend.  I believe they’re from South America somewhere…
Ring – Formerly with Larimar stone in it – from the Dominican Republic

Hand Detail: Bracelets, ring, nails

I did a french braid in my own hair for the first time… ever.  And you know what, I’m not sure I could be more pleased with how it came out.  It was a little loose at the bottom, which prompted me to tuck it up.  The result?  Perfect frizzless-even-with-chlorine-and-in-and-out-of-the-pool, off-of-my-neck hair.  Victory!

Oh, and I’ve been making progress toward more interesting poses, as well as more detail in my photos.  Here’s a nice little example of CarolAnn having no idea what to do with herself.

I made it more interesting with layered image effects. Have some of that.

And because I almost never put anything with SPF on my face [because I suspect it makes me break out] unless I know I’m going to be in the sun for long periods of time, I included my makeup + spf.  The other stuff on my face: bronzer, waterproof mascara, blush.

SPF 15

That’s what’s up! Leave me a comment: Do you rock the bikini in the summer time?  What’s your favorite bathing suit?  How do you do your makeup for a beachy, summery, fresh look?

  1. Good for you for rocking a bikini. You look great! And I love the hair…how perfect for an afternoon in the pool.

    Thanks, Piper!!

If I looked like you in a bikini, then yes, I would rock a bikini all summer long!

However, when I do finally go buy a bathing suit that fits, my plan right now is to find a one piece that’ll hide my mommy-tummy. :)

    Melissa – - You are a mommy! There’s no shame in having a mommy-tummy!
